The criminal apparently stole the workers' wages and then fled down the street to a taxi to try to escape, which he failed to do because the workers managed to catch him.
As soon as he fell into their hands, the workers threw the thief to the ground and began to beat him repeatedly, repeating on several occasions that he had to return their money.
